We disrupt the darkness of modern-day slavery
Exodus Road India Foundation
A local, survivor-focused organization (Section 8 Company) with a mission to end human trafficking in India through law enforcement partnership, community awareness, and holistic survivor care.
On the front lines — our impact to date.
Survivors Freed
Men, women, and children recovered through joint operations with Indian law enforcement.
Perpetrators Arrested
Traffickers identified, evidence built, and cases referred to prosecution alongside police partners.
From investigation to intervention — a decade of impact.
Through nearly a decade of work, the Exodus Road India Foundation has become an expert in helping police find and free survivors and arrest traffickers for legal prosecution.
We train local investigators, identify victims, build effective cases, and support law enforcement in operations.
Reshaping how interventions are carried out in rural India.
An intervention occurs when law enforcement steps in to arrest traffickers and free victims. The Exodus Road India Foundation works closely with local police to ensure this process is conducted with the sensitivity and care that survivors deserve.
A trained social worker is present at every intervention — equipped with care kits, remaining with each survivor through the rescue, providing consistent advocacy and support.
Our job is to give them comfort — because of what they have been through — and courage to speak the truth. An Exodus Road India Social Worker

Shyam Kamble
Our Country Director, Shyam, has dedicated his life to combating human trafficking in India — a commitment that is deeply personal. A traumatic experience within his own family brought him face to face with the reality of this crime, and it became the defining force behind his life's work.
With years of experience across several non-profit organizations, including the International Justice Mission, Shyam identified a critical gap — most NGOs concentrate their efforts in urban centers, leaving rural communities without awareness or support. Yet it is in these remote areas where trafficking begins and where the most vulnerable are left without protection.
Driven by this reality, Shyam and his sister founded The Exodus Road India Foundation in affiliation with The Exodus Road, with a clear mission: to reach every part of India with a particular focus on the most remote districts to end sexual violence against children.
Why should one wait? Ordinary individuals — like you and I — must come together in order to end the exploitation of children across India.Shyam Kamble · Country Director
